Michael Irish grew up in Kaimuki located on the island of Oahu in the early 60’s.  It was a bunch of guys who just hung out at the front of Kaimuki Bowl.  The early beginning of life!   Since those days, Mike has overcome many challenges in life.

In 1971, the last practice day before the first game for the University of Hawaii Warriors, Mike broke his neck and was paralyzed.  Being told he would never walk again, he proved them wrong and in four months walked out of the Pacific Rehabilitation Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.

In 1984, Mike bought his first company, Parks Brand and since then has acquired and developed several new businesses all while protecting the individualism and uniqueness of each product.  With over 90% of all the Kim Chee business in Hawaii, each brand is true to its original taste and preparation method.

In 2009, Hawaiian Pride was created due to the demand in consumers wanting a sauce they could simply add protein and vegetables too and have dinner ready to go in under 30 minutes.  Through trial and error, Hawaiian Pride sauces have become Hawaii’s Number “1” brand.  But it didn’t stop here; Mike wanted to make this healthy as well.  All his products contain No Preservatives, No added MSG and are All Natural.
